Peringottukara Devasthanam is a famous temple for Sree Vishnumaya Swami and Sree Bhuvaneswari Devi with all ancient values. Paramachariya Velumuthappa Swamikal was the first devotee who willingly bought Lord Sree Vishnumaya Swami to Peringottukara village. Today the temple has become a remedial holy place for all problems like childless issues, marital problems, physical and mental ailments, business and educational issues. Sree Vishnumaya Swami, the divine and blessed child of Lord Siva and Parvathy Devi veiled as Koolivaka who desired to live with human beings between their sufferings, misery is considered as the main deity of Peringottukara Devasthanam. People from various religion rush here to pray the deity to redeem from all the problems.
This Devasthanam believes in Parama Bhakti and total surrender. It is definite that people who come with family quarrels, infertility, continuous failures, and evil effects of Navagraha will be blessed by the Lord Vishnumaya swami.
Lots of Poojas and Offerings are done at the temple on daily basis and on the request of devotees. If the devotee fails to be physically present, he/she can make the payment and the Pooja will be done for their purpose.

Every day sharp at 12.00 Noon the daily Pooja is conducted. The amazing incident is the apparition of Lord Vishnumaya who enters into the priest in the dancing form to bless the devotees.
During Pournamy and Amavasy Shaktheya Pooja is conducted.
At the Kukshikalpam, ‘GuruthyPooja’is conducted as Shaktheya Pooja to protect the devotees from evil powers, illness.
For Deeparadhana, Poojas at sunset on Pournamy and Amavasy days, the light will be lit with oil lamps. On this day devotees can enter into the corridor of Sreekovil to make the prayer nigh to the deity.
